WHAT IS "SUPER INDIAN?"

ARIGON STARR (CREATOR/WRITER/ARTIST) is the talent behind this latest Native American Superhero comic. JANET MINER is the Editor-In-Chief of Rezium Studios' new webcomic "Super Indian."

The story is that Hubert Logan was an ordinary Reservation boy until he ate tainted commodity cheese and gained superpowers. Could have happen to anyone. "Super Indian" is set on the fictional Leaning Oak Reservation. Each week, Hubert becomes Super Indian, his heroic alter-ego who fights evil on the Reservation.

SUPER INDIAN IS LIKE....

(FOR THE YOUNGER SET) Super Indian is like "Glee" set on the Reservation with Super heroes!

(FOR THE OLDER SET) It's as crazy as the old Batman television series only if it was set on an Indian Reservation.

(FOR THE SCIENCE FICTION GEEKS OUT THERE) Super Indian is like "Buckaroo Bonzai goes to the Reservation."

However you see it -- Super Indian is fun for all ages and we're glad you're here!

YOUR SUPER INDIAN CAST OF CHARACTERS

If you're new to the world of SUPER INDIAN -- here's a quick cheat sheet to know who's who.

HUBERT LOGAN

Hubert Logan Hubert Logan is the son of Mick and Carrie Logan. Raised on the Leaning Oak Reservation, he continues to hone his super-powers as he toils as a janitor at the Leaning Oak Bingo Hall. Hubert’s secret identity is Super Indian. When he attended a birthday party for Derek Thunder (a local bully) as a 13-year-old, Derek challenged him to a commodity cheese eating contest, which adversely affected both boys. The commodity cheese had been tainted with “Rezium,” an experimental element developed by Government Research Scientist Dr. Eaton Crowe to solve world hunger and win the Nobel Prize. Hubert, now a young man, hides in plain sight behind his boyish, geeky and dateless mask, working as a janitor at the Leaning Oak Bingo Hall under a cruel, loudmouth boss Lena Marie. Hubert likes to watch movies, read comic books, collect action figures and study tribal history. Hubert also loves the work of actor Cal Van Erik, the so-called "Indian With Three Names." Hubert has seen every Cal Van Erik movie and quotes from his films to the delight (and sometimes horror) of all.
SUPER INDIAN
Super Indian Smiles

While Hubert is overlooked and under appreciated, Super Indian is powerful and resourceful enough to outwit anyone who dares cause harm to the Reservation or any of the community. Guided by Flora Logan, his traditional medicine woman grandmother, Super Indian’s (very) handsome exterior is a reflection of Hubert’s innate kindness, curiosity and desire to serve and protect his people. Super Indian has an increasing variety of developing super powers caused by the Rezium tainted commodity cheese. His very first power as a boy (after the glowing wore off) was hearing the speech of his puppy, Diogi. As his powers continue to unfold, the more challenging his foes seem to become. Come what may -- Super Indian will be ready for 'em!

KNOWN SUPER POWERS: Furnace Breath, Super Sense of Smell, Incredible Strength, Super Speed, Ice Breath, Can Talk To Animals, Super Sonic Punch.

GENERAL BEAR
Mega Bear Smiles

General Bear is and has always been Hubert’s best friend. Even though his father is a roaming agent for the FBI, no one really seems to expect much from General Bear.

He uses these low expectations to his advantage as he secretly supports Super Indian’s mission as “Mega Bear.” General Bear is a big and goofy guy who’s seemingly happy to spend his days watching TV reruns in his trailer when not working at odd jobs around the reservation.

He lives with his mother, Momma Bear, in a vintage Airstream Trailer.

MEGA BEAR
Mega Bear Poses

When Super Indian is ready to fight crime, General Bear suits up in spandex and become Mega Bear.

You won't find a more trusty sidekick who is ready to jump into action at the very first sign of trouble.

His distinctive purple and brown spandex with the mini-cape bears the insignia of the bear. He doesn’t have any super powers himself, but he’s able to keep a secret, has a stout heart, and he always seems to stumble onto needed solutions just in the nick of time.

DIOGI
Diogi's Dog Head Diogi (pronounced dee-OH-gee) is a very cultured and upper crust talking Rez Dog. After eating tainted commodity cheese at the ill-fated Derek Thunder birthday party, Diogi’s innate dog smarts were fantastically amplified. Only Hubert/Super Indian can hear him speak, a secret he’s shared only with General Bear/Mega Bear. Diogi is Hubert/Super Indian’s constant companion and is a fierce fighter against the Circle of Evil. A voracious reader, Diogi is also the only canine granted a library card from the Leaning Oak Library.
MEMBERS OF THE LEANING OAK TRIBAL COMMUNITY AND BEYOND
Flora Logan FLORA LOGAN -- Flora Logan is Hubert’s aged grandmother. She’s Leaning Oak’s tribal medicine woman and a tribal elder who’s a keeper of traditions. She’s training Hubert as his super powers develop and guiding him to walk the right road. Unlike most other tribal members she is well aware of the dangers posed by the Circle of Evil. She is also feisty, opinionated and loves watching daytime television.
Mick Logan MICK LOGAN -- is Flora Logan's youngest son and Hubert's father. Mick works as a mechanic in the Tribe's transportation department. When he's not on duty, he's behind the electric guitar with his Reservation blues band "Mick Logan's Rockin' Roll Circus." He spends his summers touring with the band, performing at Pow-Wow dinner breaks across the US. He is an avid conspiracy theorist and is a devoted listener of "Coast-to-Coast AM.".
Carrie Logan CARRIE LOGAN -- Carrie is Hubert's mother. She works for the Leaning Oak Tribe as an administrator and spends most of her time traveling to conferences on behalf of the tribe. She has more frequent flyer miles with multiple airlines than George Clooney had in "Up In The Air." When she is home, she enjoys sewing (she made the super hero costumes for her son and General Bear) and playing softball.
Uncle Chester Logan

UNCLE CHESTER LOGAN -- Chester is Hubert’s Uncle and knows about his secret identity. As the tribal radio deejay he for the reservation's radio station KOAK-AM, Chester witnesses all the local shenanigans. He also enjoys playing a mix of oldies, Pow-Wow music and blues.

When danger is near, he alerts Hubert via CB, an ancient pager and even a Bingo Hall telephone.

Chief Jerry Yellowshirt CHIEF JERRY YELLOWSHIRT -- The elected-for-life Chief of the Rez, he’s a classic politician – fawning to authority, overbearing, self-centered and prone to bend the truth. He’s quick to disappear when trouble strikes, only re-emerging to take credit after the dust settles. Answers to "Hey, Indian Man!" on and off the Rez.
Priscilla Yellowshirt PRISCILLA YELLOWSHIRT -- Spoiled, fashionista daughter of Chief Yellowshirt. She’s very beautiful and vain, but as harmless as a gossipy socialite can be...at least for now. Spends most of her time (and money) in the neighboring community of Spendy Oaks -- home of the priciest, exclusive and snobby boutiques in the Tri-State area. Often seen with her Pomerian, Tori.
Lena Marie LENA MARIE -- Lena Marie is in charge of the Bingo Hall. She’s an ex-bull rider with the build and voice to match. She’s Hubert’s boss, loud, demanding and runs everything she can to suit herself.
Agent 49

AGENT 49 -- Husband of Momma Bear and father of General Bear, Agent 49's true identity is shrouded in mystery. What is known is that Agent 49 is from the Leaning Oak Reservation and married Momma "Eurydice" Bear and five years after the birth of their son General, Agent 49 was assigned to a super-secret government mission. Agent 49 returns to the reservation as often as he can -- often at times to help his son with a dangerous criminal.

Momma Bear MOMMA BEAR -- Momma Bear is General Bear's happy-go-lucky mother. She runs a popular Beauty Shop out of their vintage Airstream trailer. Momma Bear's real name is Eurydice, so everyone on the Rez calls her "Momma." Known for her skills with scissors, curlers, the Flowbee and hot iron, Momma Bear is also the first on the Rez with gossip and news. No time for "People Magazine" or Perez? Momma Bear has got the 4-1-1, y'all!
Tillie Thunder TILLIE THUNDER -- A pretty accountant who works in the Bingo Hall Administration office, she is also Derek Thunder’s little sister. She loves all things “Star Wars” and anything Science Fiction. If it's speculative fiction -- it's on her reading list.
Mavis Lawson

MAVIS LAWSON -- Mavis is Tillie Thunder's best friend. Despite going to different schools, Mavis and Tillie became friends after attending many of the same advanced placement classes in Spendy Oaks.

[FYI: Spendy Oaks is the reservation border town to the Leaning Oak Reservation. Unlike many other dingy and suspect Border towns, Spendy Oaks is an oasis of style, fashion and culture for the Tri-State area. It's very easy to find a five dollar cup of coffee.]

Mavis is going to the College of the Spendy Oaks and studying to be an interior designer, like her heroes Martha Stewart and Nate Berkus.

Davis Teeter DAVIS TEETER -- A young, non-Native American hipster from Los Angeles who relocated to the Reservation with his wife Amber, he’s the librarian at the local tribal library. No stranger to technology thanks to his wife who’s an Internet Technology genius, Davis provides the pipeline to hip for all the Reservation folks. If there’s an obscure pop culture reference that needs explanation, Mr. Teeter is there with the right answer.
Amber Teeter AMBER TEETER -- Amber is the computer wizard who works in the Tribal Offices and solves computer issues around the Rez. More at home working on a circuit board, she loves her job and loves to hack in her spare time. Married to Davis Teeter.
EVIL DOERS AND MEMBERS OF THE CIRCLE OF EVIL
Wampum Baggs

JORGEN STORM aka WAMPUM BAGGS -- Jorgen (pronounced YOUR-genn) Storm was the mild-mannered Swedish-accented history teacher at the Leaning Oak School. He transformed into an evil arch villain after discovering a magical wampum belt. He is, without question, the leader of the Circle of Evil.

Professor Von Kelheim DR. KARL VAN KELHEIM -- A noted German anthropologist obsessed with Native Americans and their culture, he came to the Leaning Oak Reservation purely for study. He made fast friends with Tillie Thunder and librarian Davis Teeter, however the group stumbled upon a cache of mysterious glowing crystals. Dr. Von Kelheim transformed into a giant after pocketing a “souvenir” crystal and caused mayhem on the Reservation.
Derek Thunder DEREK THUNDER -- A classmate of Hubert and General Bear, he’s a spoiled, bratty bully who was also changed by eating the tainted commodity cheese and quickly becomes Wampum Bagg’s partner in crime. His super powers have manifested in technological ways, including creating a man of metal, Technoskin and modifying ancient Nintendo Games into a 3-D reality simulator.
Technoskin TECHNOSKIN -- A metallic-god-like Indian Robot built by Derek Thunder and powered by Wampum Baggs, he’s sent to create an ambiguously brown zombie army by zapping unsuspecting tribal members.
Bick Bucks BICK BUCKS -- A seemingly fine Southern gentleman that no one suspects is a member of the Circle of Evil. A PBS-pledge break darling, he’s not Indian, but thinks he is when he plays his purloined Native flute.
Vito Coeur D'Alene VITO COEUR D'ALENE -- Bick Buck’s bodyguard, he sounds and acts just like Marlon Brando in “The Godfather.” He’s not truly a member of the Circle of Evil and acts in surprising ways....
Vivan Hardy VIVIAN HARDY -- An original hippie straight from a 1960’s head shop, Vivian is bitter over business dealings on the Reservation and joins the Circle of Evil for revenge.
Twiggus McFiggus TWIGGUS MCFIGGUS -- A rotten Scottish lad with a bright red Afro, a strong accent and too much money, he’s a would-be rap gangsta who initially joined the Circle of Evil to spite his wealthy guardian Ficus McFiggus. Now, he gleefully does the bidding of Wampum Baggs.
Cal Van Erik CAL VAN ERIK --The “Indian With Three Names,” he’s a self-important, vain actor who has starred in classic B-movie yarns including “Wagon Wheel of Death” and “Geronimo: First Indian On The Moon.” He’s joined the Circle of Evil because his "Native heritage" is highly questionable and Wampum Baggs has promised to buy him a tribal membership card.
Sage SAGE -- Cal Van Erik’s gorgeous, though devious right-hand gal serves her boss with unwavering loyalty. If there’s a call that needs to be rolled, a meeting to be set up or a nefarious deed that requires doing, Sage is on it. May or may not have served hard time. She's Sage....just Sage.
